Hazard Number:
4

Description of Hazard:

Camera cable/grip equipment - when we film our video insert we will be filming a band with three Canon cameras with three tripods. This could cause a potential risk as there will also be amps, guitar wires etc.

Person(s) exposed (detail if cast/crew (C), outside company (O) or public (P) )
Cast and crew
Action to take:

High priority

We will make sure to clear room in the studio so that our cameras are not in the way and we will tie away any cables so that the space is not full of wires.
Person/company responsible for action

Cast and crew

Hazard Number:
5

Description of Hazard:

Confined spaces - we will be filming in the MBGs recording studio. However it is a small studio as we have been told and quite confined so therefore it could cause accidents because of all the equipment.

Person(s) exposed (detail if cast/crew (C), outside company (O) or public (P) )
Cast and crew

Action to take:

High priority

To prevent any risks from happening we will make sure to tidy away anything which is in the way. As well as keeping hazardous objects away from the kit. This includes amps.

Hazard Number:
15

Description
Night operation - our filming slot will take place at around 6.30-7pm and we will have to travel to the studio which is in Brentwood by train and then walk and it will be dark and we be carrying equipment so therefore this could be a risk as we may trip up or get lost as it will be dark and the location is unfamiliar.

Person(s) exposed (detail if cast/crew (C), outside company (O) or public (P) )

Crew

Action to take:

Action may be required

To ensure we do not get lost or strain ourselves, we will ask one of the band members to meet us at the train station so they can show us the way. If not we will get on a bus and they can take us directly there.

Hazard Number:
16
Description
Noise/high sound levels - as this is a live recording studio the noise levels will be quite high so this could be damaging to our hearing.

Person(s) exposed (detail if cast/crew (C), outside company (O) or public (P) )

Cast and crew
Action to take:

Programme for action

We have already spoken to the band and they have said that the noise levels aren't too loud and that they aren't loud enough to damage your hearing. However if you stand close to the speakers then they can be, so if we do we will wear protective earphones or ear buds.

Fire/flammable materials - the sound and camera equipment will use the electricity power points so potentially tis could cause a fire or could set alight flammable objects.

Programme for action

To avoid this happening we will make sure that there are no liquids lying around which are exposing and could cause a fire and we also make sure that the plug sockets aren't filled up with lots of wires.
